The Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail State Park was created in 1998 as the 53rd state park in Tennessee. The park's 150 miles of trails are ready for exploration by foot. Hikers will pass through the Tennessee River Gorge Segment in Prentice Cooper State Forest and the Grassy Cove Segment on Black and Brady Mountain, among others. Once the trail is completed, it will extend to 300 miles and pass through 11 Tennessee counties.
The trail follows sections of the Cumberland Mountains that were once as high as the Rocky Mountains. Bring your camera to capture this beautiful area in the only "linear park" in Tennessee. Travel to Knoxville for a wonderful night's rest with Best Western hotels.
